WHAT IS A ZINE?
It's a collection of fan art, fiction, and merch focusing on a particular theme/topic/series. It can be digital or physical or both!IS THERE A THEME FOR THIS ZINE?
The theme is "world tour", which aims to include articles, pictures, events, and more in different cities/countries, including a mix of them doing concerts as well as vacationing/seeing the sights.WILL THE ZINE BE DIGITAL OR PHYSICAL?
This zine will be both physical and digital.WILL SHIPPING BE INCLUDED FOR PHYSICAL ITEMS?
Shipping will not be included, it will be an additional cost.WHERE WILL THE ITEMS BE SHIPPING FROM?
The items will be shipping from the U.S.A.IS THIS ZINE FOR-PROFIT OR FOR-CHARITY?
The zine will have a 50/50 split between profit and charity.IS NSFW ALLOWED?
No, this zine will be SFW only.WILL AU CONTENT BE INCLUDED IN THE MAIN ZINE?
Yes, any AU.WHAT IS THE AGE REQUIREMENT OF THE ZINE?
Due to the zine being partially for profit, contributors will need to be 18+ at time of applying.HOW WILL CONTRIBUTORS BE COMPENSATED?
All contributors will be compensated with a digital copy of the PDF. If sales allow, we aim to provide a full bundle to all contributors.HOW MANY CONTRIBUTORS ARE YOU ACCEPTING?
We will be accepting:
Thirteen (13) to twenty (20) Page Artists.
Three (3) to six (6) Comic Artists.
Two (2) to three (3) Collab Artists.
One (1) Cover Artist.
Four (4) to eight (8) Merch Artists.
Five (5) to eight (8) writers.WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ZINE?
Page Artists will be required to create one (1) fully rendered single page piece with background or one (1) fully rendered spread piece (two pages) with background for the main zine.Comic Artists will be required to create one (1) comic between two (2) to six (6) pages. Comics do not need to be fully rendered and can be in color or black and white.Collab Artists will be required to work with a writer and will create two (2) to three (3) small spot art pieces or one (1) single or spread page art piece including a background.Cover Artist will be required to create one (1) fully rendered spread page with background.Merch Artists will be required to create two (2) to three (3) physical merch pieces.Writers will be required to create one (1) completed SFW fic between 1500 and 2500 words for the main zine.DO I NEED ZINE EXPERIENCE TO APPLY?
Not at all! We welcome anyone with or without zine experience.CAN I APPLY FOR MORE THAN ONE ROLE?
Yes, but you will only be accepted for one role.WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLYING?
Make sure you have given permission on your works for viewing. If we cannot access your samples or portfolio, your application may be disqualified. We will not be contacting anyone about any broken links.Please do not share Discord links. They expire after a certain time.Please ensure that your Google links are set for all to see.The samples you share must reflect the art style you want to use for the zine.At least one sample must reflect the role you are applying for. If you are applying for more than one role your samples must cover all of these.Your portfolio can be a Google Drive, Carrd, social media site, or anywhere that shows more of your work. They must include other works that are NOT the sample pieces and can be any style.Samples or Portfolio Do Not have to be related to KPDH.Page Artists, Comic Artists, Collab Artists and Cover Artists will be asked to provide three (3) samples and a portfolio of your work.At least one sample must reflect the role you are applying for. If you are applying for more than one role your samples must cover all of these.
Ex: If you are applying for Page Artist AND Comic Artist, two of the three samples must include a completed rendered piece AND a comic piece.
If you apply as an Collab or Cover Artists regular page illustrations will do as samples. They don't have to be collab artwork or a cover.Merch Artists will be asked to provide three (3) samples and a portfolio of your work.Please provide at least one physical merch sample. All others can be digital. Keep in mind that most of the merch will be physical though.Writers will be asked to provide three (3) samples and a portfolio of your work.All samples must be within the word limit of 1500-3000 words. If it is part of a longer series, that is fine, just make sure to cut it within the word requirements.Samples will be judged on your overall ability based on characterization and how well you tell a story. This will include plot, flow, grammar, and punctuation, so make sure to send us your best works!WILL THERE BE ANY GUESTS?
